Meet the Instructor
Heather Lahtinen is a professional wedding and portrait photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the founder of the award-winning Weddings by Heather and the Flourish Academy, and has been a professional photographer and instructor for 16 years. She holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business, but left her corporate position to pursue her passion for photography.
Heather has photographed hundreds of weddings and her work can be seen in The Knot, Pittsburgh Weddings, and Modern Bride. As an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop, Heather has also been teaching and instructing photographers in both Lightroom and Photoshop. She has vast experience and knowledge that spans more than just the technical aspects of photography, she is also a business coach and trusted mentor in the industry.
Heather is driven by an overwhelming desire to see others succeed and, as a result, her workshops do more than just instruct, they inspire.

The videos are 100% available now with access as long as you maintain your membership.
No! Photographers of all levels have benefited from these courses. We have many hobbyists that join us to improve their photography.
No. It is entirely up to you if you wish to join the Facebook group or not. However, if you do you’ll find this group to be an incredibly fun and supportive place to get feedback to your challenges, as well as kudos on your wins! In addition to current members, we will have myself and 2 additional coaches to help you make progress. It’s a great place to hangout, learn more, share your work, get feedback and lots of inspiration!
Absolutely! You are free to leave the membership at any time. Simply email [email protected] and we can help you with anything you need. If choosing an annual membership, your membership will auto-renew one year from your enrollment date. If choosing a monthly membership, your membership payments will be debited on the same date each month. Please note that we do not offer refunds for any payments already made, so please try to give us at least 72 hours notice to cancel your membership before your next billing date to ensure that it’s canceled before the next payment. You can cancel at any time. No refunds will be granted for unused months on an annual membership or unused days on a monthly membership.
